Apple Computer has long been a major corporate sponsor of the Computer Learning Foundation and has provided funding for numerous Foundation publications and activities.

Intelligent Technologies for a Safe and Productive Internet.

Legal Recourse, the book division of Legal.com,  provides hours of donated time to help the Computer Learning Foundation maintain its Web site.

Legal Recourse is a major international online bookstore with legal resources for students, educators, consumers and professionals. In the litigious society we live in, an educator can't be too careful about protecting himself or herself. That's why Legal Recourse has set up a special section of legal resources for educators (including legal services plans) and will donate $1 to the Computer Learning Foundation for each purchase or new membership you order from Legal Recourse when you identify yourself as having read about it here or in Computer Learning 2000.

 

The Atterbury Foundation

The Atterbury Foundation is a principal sponsor of the Computer Learning Foundation and has also provided funding to make Chip & Friends educational materials and Responsible Computing Posters available through the Computer Learning Foundation.

The Atterbury Foundation is a private not-for-profit foundation with the goal of encouraging and supporting the development of creative and imaginative educational materials for K-16 whose sole content and purpose are to promote (1) responsible and ethical behavior among individuals using computers to ensure that the rights and property (both intellectual and personal) of others is not jeopardized or compromised in any manner; and (2) creating an awareness of security within the end-user community with regard to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of all data found on the computing resources used within today's scientific and technological society. This effort is made with a sincere hope that today's children will grow up to become the ethical and responsible computer users of tomorrow.

Cisco Systems, Inc.

Cisco Systems provided funding to make Cisco Intertnetworking Academy for Education video series and CD-ROM available through the Computer Learning Foundation.

Cisco Systems, Inc. is committed to providing the benefits of Internet access and international communication to today's educational organizations and classrooms. The need for networked applications and instruction in schools today is a fundamental part of the educational infrastructure, just like good lighting and adequate facilities and resources. Cisco's Education Programs promote and benefit national academic organizations, schools, museums and libraries.

Cisco also hosts the Cisco Networking Academy program which teaches high school and college students how to design, build and maintain the computer networks of local, national and global organizations. The four-semester program provides course work for a complete range of basic through advanced networking concepts -- from pulling cable, through such complex concepts as subnet masking rules and strategies. Upon completing the program, graduates will have the skills necessary to fill some of the estimated 346,000 high-technology jobs that are currently available in businesses throughout the U.S.

Netsville

Netsville has donated Hazel, a powerful Internet online catalog and ordering system, to the Computer Learning Foundation.  This system has allowed the Foundation  to create an easy to use online catalog of resources endorsed by the Foundation and to make online ordering  easier for you.
